Hello Grade One Families:
We had a great first back of school together! Here are some reminders for our upcoming week.
Monday is Day 5 of our cycle and Library is on Wednesday Day 2 of our cycle.
1) No MWW words this week. :)
2) It's a PA Day on Friday January 20- NO SCHOOL that day :)
3) We went home with our Friday Letters today. We did a shared modelled lesson on a recount of our week. We will be building on our ideas. Our target is to THINK IT, SAY IT, WRITE IT and RE-READ to make sense. We are learning to use a Writer's Checklist too!
4) We are skip counting in math. We have finished by 10's and now are learning by 5's. We will also learn by 2's as well. A great tool to support our learning is https://mathville.com/gr1math.html
There are lots of skip counting games and other number sense games that are fun and engaging.
5) Extra snacks and mitts are appreciated. We're growing and we love to play in the snow too!
