Our week for February 2-6, 2026

 

I sent out via EDSBY our February newsletter and a list of our Valentine friends.  Please refer to that email for all our names if your child would like to distribute cards.

Here are some reminders for our upcoming week.

1) Monday is Day 4 of our cycle.

2) Library is on Wednesday (Day 1)

3) Wednesday is Walk to School Day, and it's a SPIRIT DAY too!  It's WEAR RED, WHITE, OR PINK DAY!

We will be having a whole school DPA at 9:20, so please have your child dressed to be outside and on time for school that day too.

4) We went home with our Friday letter and our assessment folder.  Please look through all the amazing work we have done and return back to school on Monday.  Our next assessment folder will have some mid-year rubrics and learning targets for Term 2.  

5) Please look at your child's agenda every night, as items can change and pertinent information goes in there too.  We are learning to have all the necessary materials to be successful for our day.

Our week for January 26-29

 

Please note that there is no school this coming Friday January 30, 2026.  It is a PA DAY!

Here are some reminders for our upcoming week.

1) Monday is Day 5 of our cycle.

2) Tuesday is Day 1 and it's Library.

3) We have no MWW words this week as it's a short week. :)

4) Please dress your child for the weather.  We are outside weather permitting for 2 recesses.  Extra mitts and clothes at school is recommended.  

5) We went home with our Friday letter .  Please read and send back to school on Monday.

Scholastic orders were due today; however, I will be placing the order on Monday night, so there is still time to look through if needed.  📕

Our week for January 19-23, 2026

 

We are going to the ROC on Wednesday, January 21, 2026.  A letter went home this week about what we need to have fun that day.  Please have your child dressed appropriately that day to be outside.  All outdoor winter clothing is needed, with mitts and boots too!  We need a snack and lunch with a water bottle.  Kids' kitchen lunches will be available upon return. Buses will be departing at 9:30am sharp, so please be ontime that day.  All parent volunteers will be receiving an APPENDIX 1B form in your child's BEE Bag next week.  You need to bring it the day of.  It's their waiver form.  Parking is free and their address is: 26479 Civic Centre Rd, Keswick, ON L4P 3G1

Our week for January 12-15, 2026

 

Please note that Friday, January 16, is a PA Day.  There is no school that day.  

Here are some reminders for our upcoming week.

1) Monday is Day 1 of our cycle, and it's also library.

2) We have no MWW words this week.  We will have a test on all our heart words learned so far this week, though.  

Movie Night is on Thursday, January 15.  Communication for this was sent out via the Family Weekly as well as through EDSBY.

3) We went home with our Friday letter and our poetry folder.  We are learning to make goals so we can be more awesome than last year!

4) Please dress your child appropriately for the weather.  Extra mitts/socks/clothes are appreciated too.
