We will be celebrating Earth Day every day! Happy Earth Day on April 22!

We will wear BLUE or GREEN on Wednesday to celebrate our EARTH!

Here are some reminders for our upcoming week.

1) Monday is Day 1 of our cycle, and it's Library.  Don't forget to read and log too!

2) We have new MWW words for the week. Please remember that our worksheet is due back by Friday.

Our week for April 13-17, 2026

 

To all who celebrate, wishing you all a Happy Vaisakhi! 

It's Movie Night at Rick Hansen PS on Thursday, April 16. All tickets/items were on sale via School Cash Online. 

Dental screenings will take place this week for all Grade 2 students or if you have requested a check. 

Here are some reminders for our upcoming week.

3) We went home with our poetry folder. We are to read our poem with our best phrasing and expression and return the activity sheet completed on Monday.

4) We went home with our Friday letter and our assessment folder too.  Please look at all the amazing work we have done and return both back on Monday. All work can be left at home. 

Our MWW worksheet will be due back by Friday.

Please note that the parking lot will be closed on April 15, 17, and 22 for upcoming events at our school. Please park along the designated areas to drop off your child that morning.  

Please dress your child for the weather. We are outside weather permitting for 2 recesses.

Our week for April 7-10, 2026

 

Happy Easter to all who celebrate. Please note there is no school on Friday, April 3, and Monday, April 6. School will resume on Tuesday, April 7. 

Here are some reminders for our upcoming week.

1) Tuesday is Day 3 of our cycle

2) Friday is Library (Day 1)

3) Wednesday, April 8, is International Day of Pink.

The International Day of Pink (April 8, 2026) is a global anti-bullying and anti-discrimination event where kids wear pink to stand in solidarity with the 2SLGBTQIA+ community and promote kindness. Originating in Canada in 2007, it empowers youth to celebrate diversity, challenge social norms, and stop bullying.

4) We do not have any MWW words this week as it's a short week.

5) We went home with our poetry folder. We are to complete the poetry activity sheet and return back on Monday.
