Orange Shirt Day is an annual observance on September 30th that honors the Indigenous children who suffered in Canada's residential school system, remembers those who never returned home, and supports ongoing reconciliation
We will wear the colour orange on September 30 to support every child matters!
Here are some reminders for our upcoming week.
1) Monday is Day 5 of our cycle.
2) 
Meet the Teacher night is on Thursday, October 1, 2026, from 5:30 to 6:30pm. We are excited to show you our classroom and meet me too! Our room number is 214. If you cannot make it, do not worry; we will send you home our curriculum package the next day.
3) Our Terry Fox walk is on Friday, October 2. Please dress your child appropriately to participate.
4) Our October newsletter will be sent home via EDSBY next week. There will be no calendar sent home, just a newsletter that will include our learning for the month and any upcoming events.
5) We will be coming home with our October Reading Log too. Information about it will be attached. Our reading program will be starting shortly too.
6) Library is on Day 4 (Friday).
7) Our Friday letter went home too; please read it with your child and send back on Monday.
