a) Razkids and choose a book at their level and do the comprehension activities with it.
b) Go to dance mat typing and follow along with the keyboard levels
c) Go on nature walks, what do you observe, see and hear while you are walking?
d) Create a project together, what could you build out of recycled things to be useful in your room/playroom?
e) Have them do a chore a day for you.  Teach them and see how well they will succeed.:)
Remember to always work at your own pace and do what you can do.
Have a wonderful weekend with your children.

Hello Families:
On Monday, April 6 our google classroom will be up and running.
Here is the  link: https://youtu.be/LzE5Y6CmiG4  for you to use to help you get started. You will need your child's ID and password that I sent you earlier this week. Here is a great website to help your child navigate a computer keyboard. https://www.dancemattypingguide.com/dance-mat-typing-level-1/  There are lots of fun interactive activities on Dance Mat Typing.  My girls used it too when they were little.

Here are some reminders for our upcoming week:
1) Our M.W. W words are for week #16 are sight words and 'uk' family words
some     her   would     make    duck   luck    suck   stuck
Each day on our google classroom there will be an activity posted to make our words work.
2) Please note there will be no google classroom postings on Friday, April 10 and Monday, April 13 as it is Easter Weekend.
3) Please feel free to visit other websites I have already posted.  You can always chose what works for you and your child.  I will post and have links, however, if you prefer others, feel free to use.
3) I believe it's important to have digital rules and here are what we have at our house...:
  • We pause for people: When someone wants to talk to us, we stop, look up from our screens, and talk to each other.
  • Every day we'll do something outside or get moving inside together!
  • All meals are device free.

Please remember to take a picture of what your child is proud of or what they like best about their learning for the week and send me it at judith.petramala@yrdsb.ca
If you ever have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to call or ask.  I will do my best to respond promptly.
Have a wonderful weekend with your family.
