Our week for Nov.29-Dec 3

 Hello Families:

Today your children went home with their Poetry Folders.  We learned about Visualization while we read.  They are to draw pictures around the poem as to what they visualize when they read the words.  It is due back on Monday.

Picture Day is on Thursday December 2.  I believe it is individual pictures only.  

Here are some other reminders for our upcoming week.

1) Monday is Day 1 of our cycle.

2) Library will be on Thursday (Day 4) of our cycle.

3) Please have extra mitts/socks/masks at school.  We love to play in the snow and our socks seem to always get wet too ;)

4) Our Gym days are Day 4 & 5, please make sure your child has indoor shoes to participate fully.

5) Our monthly newsletter will be going home this week too.

6) Our MWW words for Week #7 are:

Grade 1- from or one had pin thin spin skin (sight words and short i words)

Grade 2- no go going most kind find gave so do doing family friend

Our worksheet will be due back by Friday.

Our week for November 22-26

 Hello families:

It was so nice to speak and see all of you last week.  We have been working hard and learning lots in our Grade 1/2 classroom.

Here are some reminders for this week.

1) Monday is Day 1 of our cycle.

2) We have Library on Thursday Day 4.  We will be able to exchange our books this week.

3) Our MWW words for Week # 6 are:

Grade 1:  at  be  this  have  big  pig  dig  wig

Grade 2:  be see got she sheep shop queen green bee he  Bonus:  peace feel

The worksheet is due back on Friday.

4) Please dress appropriately for the weather as we are outside for 2 recesses, weather permitting. 

Extra clothes would be helpful too...:)

Our week for November 15-18th

 Hello Families:

Please note that there will be no school on Friday November 19 as it is a PA Day.  A letter for interviews will be sent home next week.  If you prefer to do a phone interview, please let me know in your child's agenda and if you have to change the time please write in their agenda and we will decide on another time together.  Here are some reminders for our upcoming week.  Remember the sign up was in EDSBY.

1) Monday is Day 2 of our cycle.

2) We will not have any MWW words next week, it's a short week. 😊

3) There is no Library Book exchange next week either.  In our Library time (on Wednesday) we will be able to buy from the Book Fair.  I have posted the slide to our live stream in our google classroom.  Please look there for you to browse and buy virtually if you'd like to ahead of time.  Otherwise, your child will be able to purchase items next week live.

4) Our Gym days are Day 4 and Day 5.  Please make sure we are dressed to move and groove.

5) Please help your child dress for the weather.  We are outside weather permitting for 2 recesses.

Our week for November 8-12

Hello families:

Please note that the clocks ⏰ change back 1 hour on Sunday November 7, 2021.  You get 1 extra hour of sleep!

We will be learning all about Remembrance Day next week.  Lest we forget. 

Here are some reminders for our upcoming week:

1) Monday is Day 2 of our cycle.

2) Library is on Wednesday Day 4 of our cycle.

3) Gym is Day 4 and Day 5 of our cycle.  Please have your child dress appropriately for Gym those days.

4) Extra Clothes should be at school in a clearly marked bag.  We store them above our coat hooks.  

5) Please dress appropriately for the weather.  We are outside weather permitting for 2 recesses.  (extra mitts and masks would be appreciated too)

6) Our MWW words for Week #5 are:

Grade 1: 'it' family words and sight words

Grade 2:  add ask came name ride bone save kite cute mine Bonus:  poppy remember

MWW worksheet is always due by Friday.

7) Our Poetry Folders went home today.   We are to read both poems with expression and find 5 rhyming words for the word FALL.  It is due back on Monday.

8) We did a recount of our week today in our Friday Letter.  Have your child read it to you and it is due back on Monday.
